Start A Prosperity Garden

Just because you live in the city, doesn’t mean you can’t have your own bountiful garden! Over labor day weekend I planted my third, and my biggest, winter garden yet. Our front yard used to be completely covered with water-hungry St. Augustine grass, but now I would say that eighty percent  of it is organic vegetable garden. I always plant more than Sue and I could possibly eat so we can share with friends, family and even our mailman. In fact, we became friends with our postman after sharing organic greens and he and his wife were inspired to plant a garden of their own.

It’s amazing how the human hand seems to be perfectly designed as a cup to hold seeds.

Look how great the garden looks after only 30 days! Sue ate some of the baby bok choy today. There is nothing better for you than eating freshly picked vegetables from your own garden.

Growing your own food is affordable.
Dirt: Two cubic yards of Double Thunder mix from Geo Growers $100
Seeds: About 30 packets $50

Below is a list of what I planted in our winter Prosperity Garden.

Lettuce is ready now, as well as baby spinach. Come and get it.
